My blog has been very quiet this week – phew I hear you say! My achilles has been slightly grumpy so gave it a rest on the Sunday and Monday after my 30 miler last weekend, then tested it with a run on the Tuesday, only did 5k as I was still aware of it, although not very sore the achilles is an area that is very difficult to heal if you don’t rest it properly so I have been cross training instead.
Saw my osteopath today to put me through agony (without doing anything to the achilles as this would make it very grumpy) and informed me that there was to be no running for 10 days, but I could continue to cross train and aqua jog, so that is what I will do. Unfortunately it has meant I have had to pull out of running the Endurance Life Ultra on the 24th, but will still be there in the evening to give my talk and listen to the other two amazing speakers, will be a great evening.
I still haven’t written my TP100 race report, what a useless woman I am; it will I promise be written this weekend.
Had my second lot of injections today for the Jungle Ultra, one more lot to go then I’m done – woodeedoo! Once I have done (fingers crossed) the Viking Way Ultra I can then concentrate on the Jungle which will be great as everyone else who is going seems to have got their food sorted already, god I haven’t even thought about my food!
